The 2014-2015 season started brilliantly for Horseware Hale Bob when he won the Pau CCI4* in France – only his second CCI4* level event. He also had podium places at Luhmühlen CIC2*, Badminton CCI4*, Luhmühlen CIC3* and Aachen CICO3*. Ingrid Klimke and Horseware Hale Bob this year also finished second in the German eventing championships held in Luhmühlen.

Hale Bob was sired by Helikon xx (Konigsstuhl xx - Hallig xx x Be Friendly xx). He is a son of the so far only German Triple Crown champion Konigsstuhl xx (Dschingis Khan xx - Konigskronung x Tiepoletto xx). This stallion was a major success off the track, and had a significant impact on the development of the German Thoroughbred and its great reputation today. His line is firmly established in sport horse breeding. Helikon xx is, for example, the sire of the CCI4* eventer Seacookie TSF (Helikon xx - Sonnenwende III x Onassis), who placed second at Burghley under William Fox-Pitt.

Hale Bob`s mother Goldige has the Noble Roi xx son, Noble Champion xx, as her sire. He is descended twice through his motherline from the Thoroughbred Figaro xx (Futuro xx x Furioso xx) and Apollo xx. Noble Champion jumped at 1m50 with Hauke Luther. Goldige’s full brother is an advanced dressage horse under saddle of Jens-Ingolf Schlittgen. Goldige also produced the CIC2* eventing horse Dacapo 277 by Duke of Hearts xx (Halling xx - Daytona Beach xx x Konigsstuhl xx) with Giovanni Ugolotti, while his full brother is also a CIC2* horse with Kai Rüder.

Grandmother Goldika carries the well-known Gotthard blood through Goldlöwe, with Der Löwe as her dam. Further in his Pedigree are the Hanoverian jumping genes of Efendi and Ernoe.

According to Ingrid Klimke, “Horseware Hale Bob was always in his element when it came to galloping in the country side, that is why he could not be stopped as a horse for drag hunting! Today he is still showing his good humor with bucking and mucking about.

Bobby doesn’t only like to jump, but also accordingly, with scope and an extraordinary fast front leg. When eventing copies rationally and confidently with everything and inspires me with every ride. Balanced and loveable is he enjoying his field and at home he is always relaxed. He is wide awake and sensitive when it gets exciting. He can sometimes barely hold back if he has to wait to start.”

Hale Bob’s breeder, Dr. Rolf Lück, is not alone in his endeavours as it’s a passion shared by his whole family. His son Oliver explains, “My family is really passionate when it comes to horses. I am the rider in the family and have ridden since I was seven years old. My mares became broodmares when I retired them from the jumping sport. Our mares are in North Germany at Pferdezucht Nesshausen, a farm with a rich tradition with Thoroughbreds. This is also the reason why Goldige was covered by Helikon xx, because they were both at the same farm. Hale Bob’s mother is still alive and has offspring by Duke of Hearts xx, as have all of our other mares.

“It is an honor that Hale Bob is the best eventing horse in the WBFSH ROLEX rankings. Horses are attached to our lives, it is a part of who we are. We are proud that we receive this success with using Throughbreds. It made us very proud that Ingrid Klimke has bought Hale Bob and that she has this success with him”.
