As the leading U.S. breeder of Danish Warmblood horses Oak Hill Ranch in Folsom, Louisiana, has been recognized by the U.S. Dressage Federation (USDF) with its annual award as Dressage Breeder of the Year. This award rounds off an important year for Oak Hill Ranch which has hosted a Danish Warmblood Inspection as well as winning a young horse class at the prestigious Dressage at Devon show with the 4-year-old stallion Ripline and supporting one of its most famous progeny in Paragon being the alternate for the U.S. Olympic Dressage team in London.

- I am honored to receive the Adequan/United States Dressage Foundation Dressage Breeder of the Year Award on behalf of riders and owners who have trained and ridden Oak Hill Ranch Horses with great success this past year. I am delighted also to share this award with the mares of Oak Hill Ranch who make this honor a reality, said owner Richard Freeman.

- The Danish Warmblood is the ideal sport horse for the United States because it has proved its elite bloodlines throughout the Warmblood industry. It is also the perfect fit for Oak Hill Ranch where we have established a reputation for top quality horses that have distinguished themselves both in the dressage arena and show jumping ring.  Two of the attractive traits of the Danish Warmblood are its ride-ability and temperament, which appeals to both professionals and amateurs alike. While this is a priority for competition riders today, its inherent features of nobility and expressiveness, make it a popular choice of the dressage community.

 - We now have some of the best Danish Warmblood stallions in the world in Don Caruso,  Rambo and Solos Landtinus, and we have arrived at the stage where demand for their offspring is exceeding supply.  The Danish Inspection this year confirmed that we are on the right track and have a robust foundation in our bloodlines on which to build.

- I am extremely proud of what we have achieved at Oak Hill Ranch with the growth of our program and the support that we have gathered around the country, which is reflected in the award we received as the U.S.

Dressage Federation’s Breeder of the Year, said Oak Hill Ranch owner Richard Freeman.
The USDF Dressage Breeder of the Year Award was presented at the USDF Annual Convention in the Sheraton, New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, LA during the Salute Gala & Annual Awards Banquet on December 8, 2012.
