The Westfalian Studbook now claims third position and refers Danish Warmblood to fourth rank. We have spoken to Wilken Treu, breeding director and CEO of the Westfalian Studbook:

– It means a lot to the Westfalian Studbook to be in the top three of the WBFSH ranking. It is the verification that our horses, like Damon Hill and Monte Bellini which did very well in national and international young horse competions, are also able to compete successfully on highest level in international top sport.

– We are very happy that there is a strong group of young Westfalian horses in the national competitions. No studbook was ever as successful at the "Bundeschampionat" as the Westfalian Studbook this year. Our horses scored more than 30% of all medals, and with Revolverheld a very good Westfalian horse won silver medal at the world breeding championship for young dressage horses in Verden. I think in a few years we will meet a lot of these horses and hopefully even some more on international competitions, says head of the Westfalian Studbook Wilken Treu.
