Reserve became champion foal

Among the filly foals bred for jumping the judges pointed at “Birkegårdens Carisma” as the best of the year. This foal is a large-framed, well-moving and true-to-type foal with lots of female expression. “Birkegårdens Carisma” is out of a silver medal mare which is the dam of two gold medal mares. There is also a strong dam line behind the best jumper bred colt foal of the year ”Søndervangs Capone” which has a string of elite mares in its pedigree. This masculine and modern foal was awarded a row of 9’s and was praised for his well-balanced canter.
”JJ Filippa” came all the way from Norway. The judges commended this foal on its outstanding type as well as its ground covering and very supple gaits. This is the second year in a row that the best dressage filly foal is from JJ Horses in Norway and by the stallion Fürstenball. The dressage colt foal ”Tailormade Attraction” was only selected as reserve foal at the regional foal show. A few days prior to the Elite Show his owner was informed that one of the two selected colt foals was not able to attend, and therefore “Tailormade Attraction” could take its place. However, the attractive chestnut (turning grey) had been in the field with his dam up to two days before the Elite Show and was obviously not in the best show condition. Nevertheless, the powerful mover managed to impress the judges with his rhythmic and elastic gaits, and subsequently claimed the champion title.
