At the WBFSH World championships for Young Breeders in Ireland on July 17th-19th 2009 eleven representatives of young horse breeders worldwide came together to start an new organisation. Aim is to improve an international co-operation and especially to arrange regular World Championships for Young Breeders. The board of the newly founded association so far will involve representatives of Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, Ireland, Mexico, Denmark, Sweden, and Germany. As the president for the next four years Inken Johannsen from the Holstein Young Breeders (Germany) was elected. She will be supported by Norman Storey (Ireland) as Vize-President and Marcel Koch (France) as recorder. There will be an annual meeting of all members that takes place every second year at the World Championchips and every other year at the general assembly of the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport horses) annual meetings.
