General Assembly and Seminars in the US 2010

WBFSH holds its annual meetings in the United States on September 28th -30th 2010 in Malvern in the state of Pennsylvania. This year, the General Assembly and Seminars will be hosted by the International Sporthorse Registry & Oldenburg Registry North America co-hosted by other North American based WBFSH member studbooks.
|
The international Sporthorse Registry, Inc. & Oldenburg Registry NA are the hosts of this year's annual meetings in the States. The event will be co-hosted by other American-based WBFSH member studbooks.
The meetings are held at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, Pennsylvania and the practical sessions partly at the Devon Breed Show and three very interesting farms related to American breeding and equestrianism.
The Seminars will be held on September 28th-30th and the General Assembly on September 30th, 2010. Please take a look at the below provisional overall programme below including seminars and excursions.

WEG package - visit WEG after the WBFSH meetings
|
Going to WEG in the days after the WBFSH annual meetings, you will be able to both see eventing, jumping and dressage at the highest level...
Important information if going to WEG with the WBFSH, a WEG package organized by the host of this year's annual meetings in the US:
The booking situation in conjunction with the World Equestrian Games is very restricted:
• Flights to Lexington, Louisville or Cincinnatti are already well booked. The given price of up to € 350.- will be the maximum you will be charged for the flight on October 1st. We will book at the best possible price for you and only charge that amount. (Currently, mid of May, tickets are approx. € 250,-)
• Hotel prices in Lexington are extremely high (from € 250.- / night and up) and only a limited number of rooms is still available. Hotels in the whole area have raised their prices for the time of the WEG drasticly and require a minimum stay of four nights. We have located a few nice and still reasonable hotels in the greater area that offer rates of € 156,- per night. Due to the special situation at the WEG all hotels request that rooms must be prepaid in full.
• Ground transportation to and from the Kentucky Horse Park is only possible by bus. We will hire a shuttle bus for the WBFSH group. It is mandatory to book the shuttle, if you book parts of the WEG package. If less than 10 delegates book the shuttle service, the service is cancelled.
• The Farm tour to the major thoroughbred farms in the Lexington area and to Keenland race track is an optional proposal. If booked by at least 10 guests we will offer this on Friday Oct. 1st .
• The availability of tickets for the listed events on Oct. 1st , 3rd and 4th cannot be guaranteed. Currently (mid of May) tickets are still available for all the listed events.
If you decide to go to Lexington for the WEG after the WBFSH annual meeting we highly recommend to fill in and return the WEG enrolment form as soon as possible!

Since all items (airline tickes, hotel rooms and WEG tickets) must be paid in advance we need your credit card data to make the payments for you. You will receive a complete list of charges by email a few days before we charge your card!

WEG in Lexington could be a worthwhile place to go after the annual meetings of WBFSH. On the picture Mistral Højris and Laura Bechtolsheimer, competing for the UK, is now ranked 6 on the FEI dressage ranking.

Dressage at Devon takes place in conjunction with the WBFSH annual meetings. Here practically all US-based breeds compete at different levels.
